Benchmark Pro ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Benchmark Pro mobile application and the website
benchmarkpro.app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have
read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Company or business name
b) Project & Business Data
In the course of using the Service, you may provide:
- Job and project details (names, addresses, descriptions)
- Schedules, timelines, and calendar events
- Budgets, estimates, and financial records
- Documents (contracts, permits, change orders)
- Job-site photographs and document scans
c) Location Data
We collect GPS location data only when you are actively clocked in using the time-clock
feature. This data is used exclusively for geofencing verification at job sites. Location tracking
stops immediately when you clock out. We do not track your location in the background or outside
of active time-clock sessions.
d) Voice Recordings
If you use our daily debrief or voice-command features, we temporarily capture audio recordings.
These recordings are processed for transcription and are not stored long-term.

e) Photos & Media
You may upload job-site photos, material snapshots, and document scans. These are stored as part
of your project data and are accessible only to you and team members you authorize.
f) Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) through
their in-app purchase systems. We do not directly collect or store your credit card or banking
details for subscriptions. If you use our invoicing features, payment processing for client
invoices is handled by your own connected payment processor.
g) Device & Technical Information
We automatically collect:
- Device type and operating system version
- Push-notification tokens (to deliver notifications you opt into)
- App version and crash/error logs
- General usage analytics (feature usage, session duration)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Store and organize your project data, schedules, and documents
- Verify job-site presence through time-clock geofencing
- Transcribe voice recordings into text for daily debriefs and voice commands
- Generate AI-powered suggestions, summaries, and text drafts
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, project updates, invoices)
- Send SMS notifications (schedule alerts, time-clock reminders) when enabled
- Process subscription billing through Apple and Google
- Deliver push notifications you have opted into
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the United States.
We implement the following security measures:
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Database policies ensure that users can only access
data belonging to their own account and authorized projects. Data isolation is enforced at
the database level.
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers
is encrypted using TLS/SSL (HTTPS).
- Encryption at rest: Stored data is protected with AES 256-bit encryption.
- Authentication: Accounts are protected with secure authentication managed
through Supabase Auth.
While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic
transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Service. Each provider receives
only the minimum data necessary to perform its function:
- Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage (US-hosted).

- Resend — Transactional email delivery. Receives recipient email addresses
and message content.

- Twilio — SMS notifications. Receives phone numbers and message content.

- RevenueCat — Subscription management and entitlement tracking. Receives
anonymized user identifiers and purchase data.

- Apple / Google — In-app purchase and subscription billing. Payment details
are handled entirely by Apple and Google; we receive only confirmation of purchase status.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI text generation for summaries, suggestions,
and drafts. Text prompts are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not
use API inputs to train its models.

- OpenAI (Whisper API) — Voice-to-text transcription. Audio recordings are
sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and are not retained by OpenAI after processing.

5. Location Data
Benchmark Pro requests access to your device's location services only for the
time-clock geofencing feature. Key points:
- Location data is collected only while you are actively clocked in to a job.
- Location tracking stops immediately when you clock out.
- We do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed.
- Location data is used solely to verify your presence at an assigned job site.
- You may decline location permissions, but the time-clock geofencing feature will be unavailable.
- Collected location records are stored with your time-clock entries and are subject to the same
security and access controls as all other project data.
6. Voice & Photo Data
Voice Recordings
- Audio is captured only when you initiate a daily debrief or voice command.
- Recordings are transmitted securely to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription.
- Once transcription is complete, the resulting text is saved to your project data.
The original audio recording is not stored long-term on our servers.
- Transcribed text may be further processed by the Anthropic Claude API to generate
summaries or structured notes.
Photos
- Photos you upload (job-site images, material snapshots, document scans) are stored
securely in Supabase storage as part of your project data.
- Photos are accessible only to you and team members you have authorized on the relevant project.
- You may delete photos at any time from within the app.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: With the third-party providers listed in Section 4, solely
to operate the Service.
- Team collaboration: Project data you share with team members or subcontractors
you invite to a project within the app.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or
enforceable governmental request.
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Benchmark Pro, our
users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of
assets, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy or you would
be notified of any changes.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through your
account settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days,
except where retention is required by law.
- Data export: You may request an export of your data in a commonly used,
machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of communications: You may opt out of non-essential emails and
SMS notifications at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Transactional
messages related to your account and billing may still be sent.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw
consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

If you are a resident of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another
jurisdiction with applicable data-protection laws, you may have additional rights under those
laws (such as rights under the CCPA, GDPR, or UK GDPR). We will honor those rights upon
verified request.
9. Children's Privacy
Benchmark Pro is a business tool designed for construction professionals. The Service is not
intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13,
we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date"
at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or via email.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated
Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
